The Regional Statistical Office - Ruse presents to national and foreign users of statistical information the new regional publication Health Services on CD.

It provides important and interesting information about demographic development, population, morbidity, the number and structure of medical staff and the activity of in-patient and outpatient health establishments during the 1999-2004 period.

The National Statistical Institute presents to the attention of users of statistical information "Bulgaria:The Challenges of Poverty" - a new publication in English which is a result of the Multipurpose Household Survey in Bulgaria carried out during 2003 by the NSI and the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy with the assistance of the World Bank. The main objective of the survey was to collect versatile, relevant and multilateral information on living conditions and poverty in the country.

Poverty surveys pursue several objectives.

The publication contains statistical data on the demographic, economic, and social development of the district. The majority of the data is representative for the 1999 - 2003 period.

The information used in the publication is taken from official surveys of the National Statistical Institute and other agencies and institutions.

The National Statistical Institute and the Plovdiv Regional Statistical Office have the pleasure of presenting to its users the latest regional edition "Statistical Review of Plovdiv District 1998 - 2002" in a printed and electronic version.

The issue is addressed to all users interested in the demographic, social and economic development of the district for the 1998 - 2002 period.

The issue is structured in two parts.

The Lovech Regional Statistical Office presents to users of statistical information the regional electronic publication 'Lovech 2004'.

The publication contains data on the demographic and social development of Lovech District over the 1998-2002 period. Data are aggregated on a district and municipality level by sectors, economic activity groupings and kind of ownership.

The National Statistical Institute has the pleasure of introducing to the users its latest regional edition "Statistical Review 2002 of Varna District", published by the Varna Regional Statistical Office.

The issue contains topical statistical data on the demographic processes, as well as on the socio-economic and cultural life in Varna District for the period 1998 - 2001.

The National Statistical Institute (NSI) informs users of statistical information that the regional publication Statistical Review of Blagoevgrad District 2002 is already available.

The published data refer to Blagoevgrad district, which according to the latest administrative-territorial division of the country as of January 5, 1999 consists of the following municipalities: Bansko, Belitsa, Blagoevgrad, Gotse Delchev, Garmen, Kresna, Petrich, Razlog, Sandanski, Satovcha, Strumyani, Hadzhidimovo and Yakoruda.

The National Statistical Institute offers to its customers the regional printed publication 'Statistical review of Sliven district 1996 - 2001'. The publication will also be available on CD.

The publication contains topical statistical data about the demographic, economic and social development of Sliven district over the 1996 - 2001 period.

The issue is designed in sections. For the accurate interpretation of indicators and data customers should use the methodological notes in the beginning of the publication.
