Tourist Trips and Tourism-related Expenditure of the Population in Third Quarter of 2015 (preliminary data)
In the third quarter of 2015, 1 274.7 thousand Bulgarian residents made tourist trips. The majority (80.5%) of them travelled only within the country, 14.6% - only abroad and 4.9% - both in the country and abroad. Compared to the same quarter of 2014 the total number of the travelled persons aged 15 and over decreased by 7.7%, as a reduction was observed in the number of the Bulgarian residents travelled in the country - by 8.7%, as well as in the number of persons travelled abroad - by 1.4%.
Household Income, Expenditure and Consumption during the Third Quarter of 2015
The total income average per household member during the third quarter of 2015 is 1 262 BGN and increases by 5.6% compared to the same quarter of 2014.
The total expenditure average per household member during the third quarter of 2015 is 1 169 BGN and increases by 1.9% in comparison with the same quarter of 2014.
The consumption of main food products average per household member decreases during the third quarter of 2015 compared to the same quarter of 2014.

In the third quarter of 2015 the unemployment rate was 8.3%, and the employment rate of population aged 20 - 64 was 68.8%.

Employees under Labour Contract and Average Wages and Salaries, Third Quarter of 2015
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute at the end of September 2015 the number of employees under labour contract decreased by 1.7% as compared to the end of June 2015 and reached 2.27 million.
In the third quarter of 2015 in comparison with the second quarter of 2015 the average monthly wages and salaries decreased by 0.6% getting 874 BGN.
Activity of Accommodation Establishments in September 2015
In September 2015, 2 644 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed places were functioned in the country. The total number of the rooms in them was 120.9 thousands and the bed-places were 265.0 thousands. In comparison with September 2014 the total number of accommodation establishments (functioned during the period) increased by 4.5% and the bed-places in them - by 4.7%.
The total number of the nights spent in all accommodation establishments registered in September 2015 was 2 418.3 thousands, or by 7.9% more in comparison with the same month of the previous year. The total revenues from nights spent in September 2015 reached 113.4 million BGN or by 10.8% more compared to September 2014.
Bulgarian Trade with EU in the Period January - August 2015 (preliminary data)
In the period January - August 2015 the Bulgarian exports to the EU increased by 9.7% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 19.2 Billion BGN while the imports grew by 6.9% and added up to 21.6 Billion BGN.
In August 2015 the exports to the EU increased by 6.7% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and added up to 2.5 Billion BGN while the imports decreased by 3.9% and amounted to 2.4 Billion BGN.
