Activity of Accommodation Establishments In January 2012
In January 2012 the total number of the nights spent in all accommodation establishments amounted to 613.5 thousand as 310.5 thousand of them was by Bulgarian residents and 303.0 thousand - by foreigners.
Construction Production Indices in January 2012
According to the preliminary data of the NSI, in January 2012 the index of production in section ‘Construction’, calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data was 1.8% below the level of the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in January 2012
The preliminary data showed that the Industrial Production Index seasonally adjusted decreased by 0.6% in January 2012 as compared to December 2011. The working day adjusted Industrial Production Index fell by 3.6% as compared to the same month of 2011.
Gross Domestic Product for the Fourth Quarter of 2011 and Preliminary Data for 2011
In the fourth quarter of 2011 GDP at current prices amounts to 19 465.4 million levs. In Euro terms GDP reaches 9 952.5 million euro in total and 1 349 euro per person. According to the seasonally adjusted figures, the GDP growth rate in the fourth quarter of 2011 is 0.3% compared to the third quarter of 2011 and 1.6% compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
Gross Domestic Product for 2010 – Final Data
In 2010 GDP at current prices amounts to 70 511.2 million levs. In Euro terms GDP is 36 052 million euro or 4 789.3 euro per person. GDP at 2005 constant prices increases by 0.4% compared to the previous year.
Production and Deliveries of Energy Products, January 2012
Production of solid fuels in January 2012 compared to December 2011 decreases by 14.7%, liquefied petroleum gases - by 10.0%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 10.1%, transport diesel - by 12.3% and electricity - by 3.0%.
Deliveries of natural gas in January 2012 compared to December 2011 increase by 13.4% and electricity - by 8.8%. Decrease is reported for the deliveries of solid fuels by 12.7%, liquefied petroleum gases - by 34.5%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 21.7% and transport diesel - by 13.9%.
Producer Price Indices in Industry, January 2012
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in January 2012 grew by 1.7% compared to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2011 the domestic prices grew by 5.3%. Total Producer Price Index increased by 2.4% compared to the previous month; compared to the same month of 2011 the prices went up by 4.8%.
Business Conjuncture, February 2012
In February 2012 the total business climate indicator marks a decrease by 2.4 percentage points compared to its level from the previous month as NSI conjuncture inquiries registered a worsening business climate in construction, retail trade and service sector.
Trips of Bulgarian Residents Abroad and Arrivals of Visitors from Abroad to Bulgaria in January 2012
In January 2012 the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents in abroad was 252.8 thousand or by 2.4% less compared to December 2011.
Goods and Passengers Carried and Transport Performance by Mode of Transport in the Fourth Quarter of 2011
According to preliminary data during the fourth quarter of 2011 in comparison with the correspondence period in 2010 the transported goods rose by 17%. At the same time, the transport performance measured in tonne-kilometres drops by 16.0%, which is mainly due to the water transport. The passenger transport registered a decline both in the transported passengers and in the transport performance by 5.9 and 1.7%, respectively in comparison with the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
