Households Income, Expenditure and Consumption in 2011
The average annual income per household member in 2011 is 3 937 BGN or 3.3% more compared to 2010.
Bulgarian households have spent 3 494 BGN per person, which is 6.6% more than in 2010.
The long-term dynamics of the statistical data proves the changes in structure of consumption of the Bulgarian households.
Investment Activity in Industry, March 2012
The investment business inquiry of NSI carried out among industrial enterprises in the second half of March 2012 provides information about the investments made by them in 2011 and their investment plans in this year.
Inflation and Consumer Price Indices in March 2012
The consumer price index (CPI) in March 2012 compared to February 2012 was 100.3%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.3%.
The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) in March 2012 compared to February 2012 was 100.1%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.1%.
Activity of Accommodation Establishments in February 2012
In February 1 681 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed places were functioned in the country.
Bulgarian Trade with EU in January 2012 (preliminary data)
In January 2012 the Bulgarian exports to the EU decreased by 7.3% compared to the corresponding month of previous year and amounted to over 1.7 billion levs while the imports increased by 1.8% and reached 2.0 billion levs.
The foreign trade balance of Bulgaria (export FOB - import CIF) with EU in January 2012 was negative and amounted to 276.5 million levs.
Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries for the Period January - February 2012 (preliminary data)
In the period January- February 2012 the Bulgarian exports to third countries decreased by 2.6% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 2.3 billion levs while the imports increased by 8.6% and reached 2.9 billion levs.
In the period January- February 2012 the total value of the exported goods (both for third countries and EU) reached almost 5.7 billion levs. Compared to the corresponding period of 2011 the exports decreased by 6.1% while the total value of the imported goods was for 6.9 billion levs and increased by 7.2%.
Homes for Medico-social Care for Children in 2011
The number of Homes for medico-social care for children at the end of 2011 is 31 with capacity of 3 756 places. 2 319 children are accommodated there. 1 278 of them are boys and 1 041 - girls.
Construction Production Indices in February 2012
According to the preliminary data of the NSI, in February 2012 the index of production in section ‘Construction’, calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data was 3.6% below the level of the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in February 2012
The preliminary data showed that the Industrial Production Index seasonally adjusted decreased by 2.1% in February 2012 as compared to January 2012. The working day adjusted Industrial Production Index fell by 5.5% as compared to the same month of 2011.
Anti-Social Acts of Minor and Juveniles in 2011 (Preliminary Data)
According to the NSI’s preliminary data the number of minors and juveniles registered in the Child pedagogic rooms in 2011 is 12 223. The coefficient of persons registered in the Child pedagogic rooms in 2011 is 1 894 per 100 000 persons of the population aged 8-17 years.
