Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries for the Period January - June 2012 (preliminary data)
In the period January - June 2012 the Bulgarian exports to third countries increased by 7.8% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 7.8 billion Levs while the imports increased by 13.0% and added up to 10.2 billion Levs.
In the first six months of 2012 the total value of all exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 19.4 billion Levs and compared to the corresponding period of 2011 the exports increased by 2.8% while the total value of all imported goods reached 24.5 billion Levs and grew by 12.9%.
Bulgarian Trade with EU for the Period January - May 2012 (preliminary data)
In the period January - May 2012 the Bulgarian exports to the EU kept the level of its value from the corresponding period of 2011 and amounted to 9.6 billion Levs while the imports increased by 9.6% and exceeded 11.6 billion Levs.
In May 2012 the exports to the EU increased by 5.1% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to 2.1 billion Levs while the imports grew by 15.8% and added up to 2.7 billion Levs.
Construction Production Indices in June 2012
According to the preliminary data of the NSI, in June 2012 the index of production in section ‘Construction’, calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data, was 1.8% below the level of the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in June 2012
The preliminary data show that the Industrial Production Index seasonally adjusted decreased by 0.8% in June 2012 as compared to May 2012. The working day adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 1.5% in comparison with the same month of 2011.
Consumer Survey, July 2012
In July 2012 the total consumer confidence indicator increases by 7.8 percentage points compared to its April level, as for the urban population the increase is 9.1 percentage points and for the rural population - 4.6 percentage points.
Building Permits Issued and Construction of New Buildings Started in the Second Quarter of 2012
In the second quarter of 2012, the municipal authorities have issued building permits for construction of 1 228 residential buildings with 3 557 dwellings, of 41 administrative buildings/offices and 1 288 other buildings. The construction of 683 residential buildings with 2 105 dwellings, of 20 administrative buildings/offices and 579 other buildings has been started.

Similar to statistics of human population, business demography describes the life cycle of the enterprises; their birth, survival and development until death. More specifically business demography supplies data on number of active enterprises, number of newborn enterprises, proportion of survived enterprises and data on changes in employment figures at specific moment in time.
Publishing Production (Continued Editions in 2011 and Books and Pamphlets Production for the Peroid October 2010 - December 2011)
In 2011 were published 369 newspapers with an annual circulation of 373 111 thousands. For the period October 2010 - December 2011, there were published 4 524 books and 554 pamphlets.
Production and Deliveries of Energy Products, June 2012 (preliminary data)
Production of unleaded motor gasoline in June 2012 compared to May 2012 increases by 1.9% and electricity - by 1.0%. Decrease is reported for the production of solid fuels by 33.6%, liquefied petroleum gases - by 9.1%, and transport diesel - by 1.4%.
Deliveries of electricity in June 2012 compared to May 2012 increase by 1.4%. Decrease is reported for the deliveries of solid fuels by 32.1%, liquefied petroleum gases - by 14.3%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 6.1%, transport diesel - by 30.9%, and natural gas - by 11.1%.
