According to the seasonally adjusted data, the flash GDP growth rate in the fourth quarter of 2013 is 1.0% compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
Indices of producer prices and goods and services currently consumed in agriculture, fourth quarter in 2013
The index of producer prices in agriculture in the fourth quarter of 2013 decreased by 19.3% in comparison with the same quarter of 2012 and by 16.2% compared to 2012.
The index of prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture in the fourth quarter of 2013 was 4.2% below the level in the same quarter of 2012 and with 3.1% compared to 2012.
Employees under Labour Contract and Average Gross Wages and Salaries, Fourth Quarter of 2013
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute (NSI) at the end of December 2013 the number of employees under labour contract decreased by 2.5% as compared to the end of September 2013 and reached 2.21 millions.
In the fourth quarter of 2013 in comparison with the third quarter of 2013 the average monthly wages and salaries increased by 4.7 getting 828 levs.
Newly Built Residential Buildings and Dwellings Completed in the Fourth Quarter of 2013 (preliminary data)
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute in the fourth quarter of 2013 the number of newly built residential buildings was 576. Compared to the fourth quarter of 2012 they were by 103 less (or by 15.2%) and the registered decrease of the newly built dwellings in them was 18.9%.
Activity of Accommodation Establishments in December 2013
In December 2013, 1 882 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed places were functioned in the country. The total number of the rooms in them was 54.8 thousands and the bed-places were 109.8 thousands. In comparison with December 2012 the total number of accommodation establishments increased by 8.7% and the bed-places in them - by 6.5%.
The total number of the nights spent in all accommodation establishments registered in December 2013 was 681.5 thousands or by 13.2% more in comparison with the same month of the previous year. The total revenues from nights spent in December 2013 reached 32.9 million BGN or by 18.5% more compared to December 2012.
Bulgarian Trade with EU for the Period January - November 2013 (preliminary data)
In the period January - November 2013 Bulgarian exports to the EU have increased by 9.6% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and have amounted to 24.4 Billion BGN while the imports from EU have grown by 2.2% and have added up to 27.7 Billion BGN.
In November 2013 the exports to the EU have increased by 9.9% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and have amounted to 2.5 Billion BGN while the imports have decreased by 2.3% and have added up to 2.7 Billion BGN.
Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries in 2013 (preliminary data)
In 2013 the Bulgarian exports to third countries have increased by 3.5% compared to the previous year and have amounted to 17.3 Billion BGN while the imports have decreased by 1.0% and added up to 20.3 Billion BGN.
In 2013 the total value of all exported goods (both for third countries and EU) have amounted to 43.4 Billion BGN and compared to 2012 the exports have increased by 6.8% while the total value of all imported goods have added up to 50.5 Billion BGN and have increased by 1.3%.
Construction Production Indices in December 2013
According to the preliminary data, in December 2013 the index of production in section ‘Construction’, calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data was 0.5% above the level of the previous month. The working day adjusted index of production in construction decreased by 2.8% in comparison with the same month of 2012.
Turnover Indices in 'Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles' in December 2013
By preliminary seasonally adjusted data in December 2013 the turnover in Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles at constant prices increased by 0.4% compared to the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in December 2013
According to the preliminary data the Industrial Production Index seasonally adjusted decreased by 1.0% in December 2013 as compared to November 2013. The working day adjusted Industrial Production Index went down by 1.0% in comparison with the same month of 2012.
