National Statistical Institute presents data on weekly mortality

The teams of the National Statistical Institute and the Bodies of statistics will conduct a total of 316 surveys, according to the 2021 National Statistical Programme.
At its regular meeting on January 6, 2021, the Council of Ministers adopted the National Statistical Programme, as well as the Report on the implementation of the National Statistical Programme and on the activities of the National Statistical Institute in 2020.
The project lasted for 20 months in the period November 2018 - July 2020.
The general project objectives were adapting the production process and the use of the administrative data, including preliminary income register data.
On 25th June 1880 by virtue of the Decree № 296, issued by Prince Alexander I, the Statistical Department at the Ministry of Finance was established and in the next year the department grew into an independent Statistical Bureau. Hereby, the foundations of the state statistical institution in Bulgaria were laid down.
Surveys and respondents
The National Statistical Institute suspended surveys, which are conducted via direct personal contact with the population and face-to-face interviews.
The deadline for submission of consolidated annual activity report for enterprises is extended until 30th September 2020.
