Industrial Production Indices in January 2011
The preliminary data showed that the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted increased by 3.2% in January 2011 as compared to December 2010. The working day adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 9.3% as compared to the same month of 2010.
Business Conjuncture, February 2011
In February 2011 the total business climate indicator increases by 2.7 percentage points in comparison with the previous month and it is pulling away from its lowest value registered over the last 2 years by 9.3 percentage points, but there are still 8.3 percentage points left for it to reach its long-term average value.
Households Income, Expenditure and Consumption during the Fourth Quarter of 2010
The average quarterly total income average per household member during the fourth quarter of 2010 is 924 Levs or by 3.7% less compared to the same quarter of 2009. The main part of this income (82.6%) is received from wages and salaries and pensions. The tendency of increase in pensions persists in similar terms as noted in comparative analyses from past periods. A nominal decrease in wages is registered. Wages and salaries continue to be the main source of household income.
Producer Price Indices in Industry, January 2011
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in January 2011 rose by 0.5% comparing to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2010 the domestic prices grew by 11.1%. Total Producer Price Index in Industry increased by 1.7% compared to the previous month, compared to the same month of 2010 the prices rose by 12.1%.
Trips of Bulgarian Residents Abroad and Arrivals of Visitors from Abroad to Bulgaria in January 2011
In January 2011, the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 303.8 thousand, or 7.5% more than the number of the trips in January 2010. In January 2011, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 324.3 thousand or 6.4% more than the number of trips in the corresponding month of 2010.
Tourist Trips and Tourism-related Expenditure of the Population in the Fourth Quarter of 2010
By preliminarily data, 986.2 thousand Bulgarian residents travelled to the country or abroad in the fourth quarter of 2010. A person of 15 years and over spent on the average 130.3 BGN for its private domestic trip and 704.9 BGN for outbound trip.
Goods and Passengers Carried and Transport Performance by Mode of Transport, Fourth Quarter 2010
According to preliminary data during the fourth quarter of 2010 comparing with the previous three months а decrease of the goods carried was observed, as well of the transport performance by 3.1 and 9.2% respectively. As compared the corresponding period of 2009 was registered a decline in the freight carriages– by 2.1% for the goods carried and by 33.3% for the transport performance. During the fourth quarter of 2010 transported passengers were with 13.0% more than the passengers in the previous three months, while the transport performance fell by 1.5%. In comparison with the corresponding quarter of 2009 а decrease was observed for the transported passengers by 1.0%, while the transport performance increased by 5.2%.
Building Permits Issued and Construction of New Buildings Started in the Fourth Quarter of 2010
In the fourth quarter of 2010, the municipal authorities have issued building permits for construction of 1 152 residential buildings with 2 705 dwellings, of 52 administrative buildings/offices and 1 108 other buildings. The construction of 611 residential buildings with 2 286 dwellings, of 24 administrative buildings/offices and 472 other buildings has been started.
Main Labour Force Survey Results, Fourth Quarter 2010
In the fourth quarter of 2010 the employment rate of population aged 15 - 64 recorded a fall by 2.2 percentage points compared to the respective quarter of 2009 and stood at 59.0%. For the same period the unemployment rate went up by 3.3 percentage points to 11.2%.
Activity of Accommodation Establishments for the period October - December 2010
In the fourth quarter of 2010, 2 117 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed places were functioned in the country.
The total number of the nights spent in all accommodation establishments in the fourth quarter of 2010 was 1 616.9 thousand and rose by 107.7 thousand (7.1%) compared to same period of 2009.
