Tourist Trips and Tourism-related Expenditure of the Population in the Third Quarter of 2011
By preliminarily data, 1522.9 thousand Bulgarian residents were travelled to the country or abroad in the third quarter of 2011. A person of 15 years and over spent on the average 455.0 BGN for its private domestic trip and 844.3 BGN for outbound trip.
Indices of producer prices and means of production in agriculture, third quarter in 2011
The index of producer prices in agriculture increases by 25.5% in the third quarter of 2011 as compared to the same quarter 2010. Increases were registered in the crop production by 29.4%, and in the livestock – by 10.2% compared with the corresponding quarter of previous year.
The index of prices of means of production used in agriculture in the third quarter of 2011 is 8.8% above the same quarter of 2010.
Investment Activity in Industry, October 2011
The investment business inquiry of NSI carried out among industrial enterprises in the second half of October 2011 shows that the industrial entrepreneurs expect to make 20.0% less investments in the current year in comparison with the previous 2010.
Activity of Accommodation Establishments for the period July - September 2011
In the third quarter of 2011, 3 450 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed places were functioned in the country.
The total number of the nights spent in all accommodation establishments in the third quarter of 2011 was 11 155.8 thousand and rose by 1 769.5 thousand (18.9%) compared to the same period of 2010.
Gross Domestic Product for the Third Quarter of 2011 – Flash Estimates
GDP in the third quarter of 2011 increased by 1.3%, compared with the same quarter of the previous year but remains at the same level compared with the second quarter of 2011.
Crimes Concluded with Penalty Inflicted and Persons Convicted in First Semester of 2011
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute for the first semester of 2011, the trials ended with inflicted penalty cover 14 136 committed crimes. The number of persons convicted with penalties come into force amounted to 15 796. The number of persons with effective sentence of conviction amounted to 9 276 and conditionally sentenced are 6 520 persons.
Inflation and Consumer Price Indices in October 2011
The consumer price index (CPI) in October 2011 compared to September 2011 was 100.8%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.8%.
The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) in October 2011 compared to September 2011 was 100.3%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.3%.
Newly Built Residential Buildings and Dwellings Completed in the Third Quarter of 2011
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute, in the third quarter of 2011 the newly built residential buildings were 690 and compared to the same quarter of 2010 increased by 27.1%. The newly built dwellings in them fell by 0.7% and their number was 3 796.
Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries for the Period January - September 2011 (preliminary data)
In the period January - September 2011 the Bulgarian exports to third countries increased by 30.4% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and exceeded 11.1 billion levs while the imports increased by 24.5% and amounted to 13.8 billion levs
In the period January - September 2011 the total value of the exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 29.0 billion levs and compared to the corresponding period of 2010 the exports increased by 32.0% while the total value of all imported goods was 32.1 billion levs and increased by 20.6%.
Bulgarian Trade with EU for the Period January- August 2011 (preliminary data)
In the period January - August 2011 the Bulgarian exports to the EU increased by 34.8% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 15.9 billion levs while the imports increased by 19.0% and amounted to 16.2 billion levs.
In August 2011 the exports to the EU increased by 15.7% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and exceeded 2.0 billion levs while the imports increased by 11.0% and exceeded 1.9 billion levs .
