Building Permits Issued and Construction of New Buildings Started in the Third Quarter of 2014
Production and Deliveries of Energy Products, August 2014
In August 2014 compared to July 2014 an increase of the production of unleaded motor gasoline by 4.1% and transport diesel - by 7.5% is reported. At the same time a decrease of the production of solid fuels by 14.7%, natural gas - by 7.7% and electricity by - 5.5% is reported. No change is reported for the production of liquefied petroleum gases.
In August 2014 compared to July 2014 an increase of the deliveries of liquefied petroleum gases by 5.3%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 11.5%, transport diesel - by 0.6% and natural gas - by 4.7% is reported. At the same time a decrease of the deliveries of solid fuels by 13.3% and electricity - by 0.5% is reported.
Producer Price Indices in Industry, September 2014
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in September 2014 increased by 0.2% compared to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2013 the domestic prices fell by 0.6%. Total Producer Price Index in September 2014 increased by 0.3% compared to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2013 the prices went down by 0.2%.
Business Conjuncture, October 2014
In October 2014 the total business climate indicator decreases by 0.5 percentage points compared to the previous month due to the more unfavourable business climate in industry and retail trade.
Trips of Bulgarian Residents Abroad and Arrivals of Visitors from Abroad to Bulgaria in September 2014
In September 2014, the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 407.0 thousand or by 9.7% above the registered in September 2013. The trips with other purposes (as a guest, education and visit the cultural and sport events) in September 2014 composed the greatest share of the total number of trips of Bulgarian residents abroad - 41.6%, followed by the trips with holiday and recreation purpose - 33.7%, and with professional purpose - 24.7%.
In September 2014, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 1 108.0 thousands or by 0.5% under the level of September 2013. A decrease was registered in the trips with holiday and recreation purpose - by 8.8% while the trips with professional purpose and with other purposes increased by 23.9% and 2.9% respectively.

Deficit and Debt of General Government Sector for the period 2010 - 2013 according to ESA 2010
According to the updated European System of National and Regional Accounts (ESA 2010) the National Statistical Institute reported on the basis of final data for General Government sector in 2013 deficit of 989 million BGN or 1.2% of GDP. The Government debt of Bulgaria for 2013 is 14 731 million BGN or 18.3% of GDP.
Research and Development Activity in 2013 (preliminary data)
In 2013, the total amount of expenditure on research and development activity (R&D) was 521.2 million BGN which was 5.0% more than the previous year.
Inflation and Consumer Price Indices in September 2014
The consumer price index in September 2014 compared to August 2014 was 99.8%, i.e. the monthly inflation was -0.2%.
Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries for the Period January - August 2014 (preliminary data)
In the period January - August 2014 the Bulgarian exports to third countries decreased by 10.7% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 10.4 Billion BGN while the imports decreased by 4.4% and added up to 12.8 Billion BGN.
In the period January - August 2014 the total value of all exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 27.9 Billion BGN and compared to the corresponding period of 2013 the exports decreased by 2.9% while the total value of all imported goods added up to 33.0 Billion BGN and increased by 0.2%.
