Inflation and Consumer Price Indices in October 2014
The consumer price index in October 2014 compared to September 2014 was 100.9%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.9%.

Activity of Accommodation Establishments in September 2014
In September 2014, 2 529 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed places were functioned in the country. The total number of the rooms in them was 117.2 thousands and the bed-places were 253.0 thousands. In comparison with September 2013 the total number of accommodation establishments (functioned during the period) increased by 1.9% and the bed-places in them - by 1.8%.
The total number of the nights spent in all accommodation establishments registered in September 2014 was 2 241.2 thousands or by 6.1% less in comparison with the same month of the previous year. The total revenues from nights spent in September 2014 reached 102.4 million BGN or by 5.6% more compared to September 2013.

Bulgarian Trade with EU in the Period January - August 2014 (preliminary data)
In the period January - August 2014 the Bulgarian exports to the EU increased by 2.6% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 17.5 Billion BGN while the imports grew by 3.5% and added up to 20.1 Billion BGN.
In August 2014 the exports to the EU decreased by 3.5% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to 2.3 Billion BGN while the imports increased by 12.4% and added up to 2.5 Billion BGN.

Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries in the Period January - September 2014 (preliminary data)
In the period January - September 2014 the Bulgarian exports to third countries decreased by 8.0% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 11.9 Billion BGN while the imports decreased by 2.9% and added up to 14.8 Billion BGN.
In the period January - September 2014 the total value of all exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 31.8 Billion BGN and compared to the corresponding period of 2013 the exports decreased by 2.1% while the total value of all imported goods added up to 37.7 Billion BGN and increased by 0.5%.

Employees under Labour Contract and Gross Average Wages and Salaries, Third Quarter of 2014
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute at the end of September 2014 the number of employees under labour contract has decreased by 2.2% as compared to the end of June 2014 and reached 2.25 millions.
In the third quarter of 2014 in comparison with the second quarter of 2014 the average monthly wages and salaries decreased by 1.0% getting 809 BGN.

Newly Built Residential Buildings and Dwellings Completed in the Third Quarter of 2014 (preliminary data)
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute in the third quarter of 2014 the number of newly built residential buildings was 647. Compared to the third quarter of 2013 they were by 137 more (or by 26.9%) and the registered increase of the newly built dwellings in them was 17.9 %.

Construction Production Indices in September 2014
According to the preliminary data, in September 2014 the index of production in section ‘Construction’, calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data was 2.4% above the level of the previous month. In September 2014 the working day adjusted index of production in construction increased by 5.8% in comparison with the same month of 2013.

According to the preliminary seasonally adjusted data in September 2014 the turnover in ‘Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles’ at constant prices increased by 0.5% compared to the previous month.

According to the preliminary data the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted, increased by 1.2% in September 2014 as compared to August 2014. In September 2014 the working day adjusted Industrial Production Index fell by 0.4% in comparison with the same month of 2013.

Consumer Survey, October 2014
In October 2014 the total consumer confidence indicator decreases by 2.9 percentage points compared to its level 3 months ago which is due to the decreased confidence of both urban and rural inhabitants by 3.0 and 2.8 percentage points respectively.
