Activity of accommodation establishments in May 2020
In May 2020, in a state of emergency and the ensuing epidemic situation, 1 103 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed-places were functioned in the country. The total number of the rooms in them was 30.5 thousand and the bed-places were 61.1 thousand. In comparison with May 2019, the total number of accommodation establishments (functioned during the period) decreased by 52.6% and the bed-places in them - by 74.1%.
The total number of the nights spent in all accommodation establishments registered in May 2020 was 116.1 thousand, or by 92.0% less in comparison with the same month of the previous year.
The total revenues from nights spent in May 2020 reached 5.4 million BGN or by 92.9% less compared to May 2019.
Construction Production Indices in May 2020
According to the preliminary data, in May 2020 the index of production in section ‘Construction’ calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data was 0.3% above the level of the previous month. In May 2020 the working day adjusted index of production in construction decreased by 14.1% in comparison with the same month of 2019.
Turnover Indices in 'Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles' in May 2020
According to the preliminary seasonally adjusted data in May 2020 the turnover in ‘Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles’ at constant prices kept the level of the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in May 2020
According to the preliminary data in May 2020 the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted, decreased by 0.1% as compared to April 2020. In May 2020 the working day adjusted Industrial Production Index fell by 16.1% in comparison with the same month of 2019.

Producer Price Indices in Industry, May 2020
Total Producer Price Index in May 2020 decreased by 1.0% compared to the previous month; compared to the same month of 2019 the prices fell by 5.3%. Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in May 2020 decreased by 0.6% compared to the previous month; compared to the same month of 2019 the domestic prices fell by 1.6%.
Production and Deliveries of Energy Products, April 2020
In April 2020 compared to March 2020 a decrease is reported for the production of solid fuels - by 11.5%, liquefied petroleum gases - by 37.5%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 17.2%, transport diesel - by 10.4%, natural gas - by 20.0% and electricity - by 21.5%.
In April 2020 compared to March 2020 a decrease is reported for the deliveries of solid fuels - by 11.4%, liquefied petroleum gases - by 40.0%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 17.9%, transport diesel - by 30.7%, natural gas - by 23.2% and electricity - by 16.1%.
Trips of Bulgarian Residents Abroad and Arrivals of Visitors from Abroad to Bulgaria in May 2020
In May 2020, during the state of emergency and followed epidemic situation in the country, the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 123.3 thousand, or by 83.8% under the registered in May 2019. In comparison with April 2020 the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad increased by 63.8%.
In May 2020, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 120.4 thousand or by 87.3% less in comparison with May 2019. Compared to April 2020, an increase of 48.3% was registered.
Business Conjuncture, June 2020
In June 2020, the total business climate indicator increases by 11.4 percentage points in comparison with the previous month which is due to more favourable business climate in all observed sectors - industry, construction, retail trade and services.
