Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries in the Period January - June 2020 (preliminary data)
In the period January - June 2020 the exports of goods from Bulgaria to third countries decreased by 10.5% compared to the same period of 2019 and amounted to 8 890.3 Million BGN while the imports of goods from third countries dropped by 11.0% and added up to 10 940.8 Million BGN.
In the period January - June 2020 the total value of all exported goods to third countries and EU amounted to 26 059.0 Million BGN, which is 8.0% less than the same period of the previous year, while the total value of all imported goods from third countries and EU added up to 28 184.9 Million BGN and dropped by 11.7%.
The European System of Integrated Social Protection Statistics (ESSPROS), 2018
In 2018, Bulgaria spent 18 517.1 million BGN for social protection. Тo finance social protection in the country, 7 994.1 million BGN were allocated from the state budget while the receipts of social protection contributions amounted to 11 552.1 million BGN.
Activity of accommodation establishments in June 2020
In June 2020, during the continuing epidemic situation, 2 030 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed-places were functioned in the country. The total number of the rooms in them was 79.2 thousand and the bed-places were 171.4 thousand. In comparison with June 2019, the total number of accommodation establishments (functioned during the period) decreased by 32.7%, and the bed-places in them - by 43.6%.
The total number of the nights spent in all accommodation establishments registered in June 2020 was 495.1 thousand, or by 87.7% less in comparison with the same month of the previous year.
The total revenues from nights spent in June 2020 reached 23.1 million BGN or by 88.8% less compared to June 2019.
Construction Production Indices in June 2020
According to the preliminary data, in June 2020 the index of production in section ‘Construction’ calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data was 4.8% above the level of the previous month. In June 2020 the working day adjusted index of production in construction decreased by 2.2% in comparison with the same month of 2019.
Turnover Indices in 'Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles' in June 2020
According to the preliminary seasonally adjusted data in June 2020 the turnover in ‘Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles’ at constant prices increased by 0.9% compared to the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in June 2020
According to the preliminary data in June 2020 the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted, increased by 5.8% as compared to May 2020. In June 2020 the working day adjusted Industrial Production Index fell by 7.7% in comparison with the same month of 2019.
Newly Built Residential Buildings and Dwellings Completed in the Second Quarter of 2020 (preliminary data)
According to preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute in the second quarter of 2020 the number of newly built residential buildings was 766 and the newly built dwellings in them were 3 660. Compared to the second quarter of 2019 the buildings were by 104 more (or by 15.7%) and the newly built dwellings in them increased by 1 317 or by 56.2%.
Consumer Survey, July 2020
In July 2020, the total consumer confidence indicator increases by 3.3 percentage points in comparison with April, as for the urban population the increase is 2.7 percentage points and for the rural population - 4.5 percentage points.
Building Permits Issued and Construction of New Buildings Started in the Second Quarter of 2020
In the second quarter of 2020, the municipal authorities issued building permits for construction of 1 362 residential buildings with 5 928 dwellings, of 31 administrative buildings/offices and 935 other buildings. The construction of 979 residential buildings with 4 766 dwellings, of 21 administrative buildings/offices and 584 other buildings was started.

Similar to statistics of human population, business demography describes the life cycle of the enterprises; their birth, survival and development until death. More specifically business demography supplies data on number of active enterprises, number of newborn enterprises, proportion of survived enterprises and data on changes in employment figures at specific moment in time.
