Gross Domestic Product, Second Quarter of 2014 (preliminary data)
According to the seasonally adjusted data, the GDP growth rate in the second quarter of 2014 is 1.6% compared to the same quarter of 2013.

According to preliminary data the foreign direct investments in the non-financial sector as of 31.12.2013 amounted to 22 948 million Euro, which is 4.5% more compared to 2012.
According to preliminary data 315 587 non-financial enterprises submitted their annual reports for 2013 at the National Statistical Institute. The data show they made 124 457 million BGN of production value, generated 36 669 million BGN of value added at factor cost and employed 1 873 957 persons.
According to preliminary data 54 licensed insurance enterprises, 9 pension companies and 28 pension funds managed by them, 250 special investment purpose companies and 9 243 associations and foundations submitted their annual reports for 2013 at the National Statistical Institute.
In June 2014 compared to May 2014 an increase of the production of electricity by 1.9% is reported. At the same time a decrease of the production of solid fuels by 39.2%, liquefied petroleum gases - by 11.1%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 6.8%, transport diesel - by 25.4% and natural gas - by 20.0% is reported.
In June 2014 compared to May 2014 a decrease of the deliveries of solid fuels by 36.0%, liquefied petroleum gases - by 5.7%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 4.5%, transport diesel - by 11.4%, natural gas - by 23.8%, and electricity - by 2.9% is reported.
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in July 2014 decreased by 0.1% compared to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2013 the domestic prices fell by 0.6%. Total Producer Price Index increased by 0.2% compared to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2013 the prices went down by 0.4%.
In the second quarter of 2014, 886.1 thousand Bulgarian residents made tourist trips. The majority (74.7%) of them travelled only within the country, 19.8% - only abroad and 5.5% - both in the country and abroad. Compared to the same quarter of 2013 the total number of the travelled persons aged 15 and over decreased by 1.2%, as a reduction was observed in the number of the Bulgarian residents travelled in the country - by 13.6%, while the number of persons travelled abroad increased by 34.7%.
