Household Income, Expenditure and Consumption during the Third Quarter of 2012
The average quarterly total income average per household member during the third quarter of 2012 is 1 120 Levs or by 14.5% more compared to the same period of 2011.
The total expenditure per household member during the third quarter of 2012 is 1 033 Levs and it increases by 12.6% in relation to the same quarter of 2011.
The consumption of main food products average per capita doesn’t change significant during the third quarter of 2012 compared to the third quarter of 2011.
Inflation and Consumer Price Indices in October 2012
The consumer price index in October 2012 compared to September 2012 was 100.3%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.3%.
Newly Built Residential Buildings and Dwellings Completed in the Third Quarter of 2012 (preliminary data)
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute in the third quarter of 2012 the number of newly built residential buildings was 596 and compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year decreased by 11.3%.
Activity of Accommodation Establishments in September 2012
In September 2012, 2 327 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed places were functioned in the country.
Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries for the Period January - September 2012 (preliminary data)
In the period January – September 2012 the Bulgarian exports to third countries increased by 9.8% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 12.4 Billion Levs while the imports increased by 12.1% and added up to 15.4 Billion Levs.
In the first nine months of 2012 the total value of all exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 30.2 Billion Levs and compared to the corresponding period of 2011 the exports increased by 2.2% while the total value of all imported goods reached 37.1 Billion Levs and grew by 11.0%.
Bulgarian Trade with EU for the Period January - August 2012 (preliminary data)
In the period January - August 2012 the Bulgarian exports to the EU decreased by 2.1% compared to the corresponding period of 2011 and amounted to 15.7 Billion Levs while the imports increased by 12.0% and added up to 19.3 Billion Levs.
In August 2012 the exports to the EU decreased by 11.3% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to 2.0 Billion Levs while the imports increased by 9.6% and added up to 2.2 Billion Levs.
Employees under Labour Contract and Average Wages and Salaries, Third Quarter of 2012 (preliminary data)
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute (NSI) at the end of September 2012 the number of employees under labour contract decreased by 1.0% as compared to the end of June 2012 and reached to 2.13 Millions. In third quarter of 2012 in comparison with the second quarter of 2012 the average monthly wages and salaries decreased by 0.5% getting 754 Levs.
Construction Production Indices in September 2012
According to the preliminary data of the NSI, in September 2012 the index of production in section ‘Construction’, calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data, was 1.1% below the level of the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in September 2012
The preliminary data showed that the Industrial Production Index seasonally adjusted decreased by 1.8% in September 2012 as compared to August 2012. The working day adjusted Industrial Production Index fell by 1.3% in comparison with the same month of 2011.
Consumer Survey, October 2012
In October 2012 the total consumer confidence indicator decreases by 4.3 percentage points compared to its level 3 months ago which is due to the decreased confidence of both urban and rural inhabitants by 4.6 and 4.0 percentage points respectively.
