Building Permits Issued and Construction of New Buildings Started in the Second Quarter of 2018
In the second quarter of 2018, the municipal authorities issued building permits for construction of 1 476 residential buildings with 8 178 dwellings, of 32 administrative buildings/offices and 1 274 other buildings. The construction of 1 128 residential buildings with 6 195 dwellings, of 25 administrative buildings/offices and 724 other buildings was started.
Business Demography by 31st of December 2016
Similar to statistics of human population, business demography describes the life cycle of the enterprises; their birth, survival and development until death. More specifically business demography supplies data on number of active enterprises, number of newborn enterprises, proportion of survived enterprises and data on changes in employment figures at specific moment in time.
Business Conjuncture, July 2018
In July 2018, the total business climate indicator remains approximately to its level from the previous month. An improvement of the business conjuncture is registered in construction, retail trade and service sector. Only in industry, a reduction is observed.
Production and Deliveries of Energy Products, May 2018
In May 2018 compared to April 2018 an increase is reported for the production of solid fuels - by 22.8%. After the planned repairs of production facilities done in March - April 2018, the production of petroleum products was restored to levels near to its usual levels. At the same time a decrease is reported for the production of electricity - by 1.7%.
In May 2018 compared to April 2018 an increase is reported for the deliveries of solid fuels - by 22.0%, liquefied petroleum gases - by 17.1%, natural gas - by 3.0% and electricity - by 3.6%. At the same time a decrease is reported for the deliveries of unleaded motor gasoline by 30.2% and transport diesel by 1.1%.
Producer Price Indices in Industry, June 2018
Total Producer Price Index in June 2018 increases with 0.8% compared to the previous month; compared to the same month of 2017 the prices rose by 6.8%. Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in June 2018 increased by 0.5% compared to the previous month; compared to the same month of 2017 the domestic prices grew by 5.7%.
Trips of Bulgarian Residents Abroad and Arrivals of Visitors from Abroad to Bulgaria in June 2018
In June 2018, the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 677.3 thousand or by 9.4% above the registered in June 2017. The trips with other purposes (as a guest, education and visit the cultural and sport events) in June 2018 composed the greatest share of the total number of trips of Bulgarian residents abroad - 41.0%, followed by the trips with holiday and recreation purpose - 35.5%, and with professional purpose - 23.5%.
In June 2018, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 1 550.4 thousand or by 7.0% more in comparison with June 2017. In June 2018, the predominant share of the visits with holiday and recreation purpose was 50.9%, followed by trips with other purposes - 34.7%, and with professional purpose - 14.4%.
Crimes, accused persons and persons convicted in 2017
The trials of 26 753 committed crimes were ended with penalties (effective and conditional) in 2017. Persons convicted with penalties inflicted in 2017 were 25 800.
Inflation and Consumer Price Indices in June 2018
The consumer price index in June 2018 compared to May 2018 was 100.1%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.1%.
Bulgarian Trade with EU in the period January - April 2018 (preliminary data)
In the period January - April 2018 the Bulgarian exports to the EU increased by 13.8% compared to the same period of 2017 and amounted to 11 859.3 Million BGN while the imports grew by 10.5% and added up to 13 021.1 Million BGN.
In April 2018 the exports to the EU increased by 16.1% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to 2 898.6 Million BGN while the imports grew by 8.1% and added up to 3 217.6 Million BGN.
Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries in the Period January - May 2018 (preliminary data)
In the period January - May 2018 the Bulgarian exports to third countries decreased by 16.5% compared to the same period of 2017 and amounted to 6 050.8 Million BGN while the imports dropped by 1.6% and added up to 8 514.0 Million BGN.
In the period January - May 2018 the total value of all exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 20 934.9 Million BGN and in comparison with the same period of the previous year the exports increased by 2.0% while the total value of all imported goods added up to 24 896.9 Million BGN and grew by 5.5%.
